More than 13.000 pairs of sneakers are being donated. Chris Davis, New Balance Vice President of Global Marketing, said in a statement, "New Balance and our athletes are proud and humbled to show our tremendous appreciation to those who are now sacrificing so much during the COVID-19 crisis." Davis added, "We are grateful to be able to provide footwear to medical facilities in our communities and to keep those working on the front lines comfortable." While precise details of how the philanthropic endeavor will roll out has not yet been announced, New Balance will be partnering with some of its sponsored athletes, such as Dejounte Murray, Milos Raonic, Rose Lavelle, Sydney McLaughlin, Rob Pannell, Zdeno Chara, Trayvon Bromell and Joey Gallo, just to name a few.
